Each paper will be blind-reviewed by at least three members of the scientific committee, and will be accepted on the bases of its originality, significance and clarity. For managing this complex process, VSMM2012 papers will be submitted through the well-known "Easy Chair" service. If you have already used that system for other conferences, you can use your existing account. Otherwise, if you have never used it, you should set up a new account so as to be enabled to submit a paper.
Once your account has been set up and confirmed through a validation mail, you can start the submission process by selecting "New Submission" on the top menu. The process is quite straightforward but not instantaneous: please consider at least 10-15 minutes for completing it.
After started a new submission you can select the most suitable track, wich fits with your paper among the following:
Once chosen, the submission form will be open. Here, you have several sections to complete:
Although preliminary abstract submission is not mandatory, authors are kindly invited to submit in advance an abstract of their paper(s), 3000 chars max (spaces included), in order to:
The full, short or demo papers must be formatted in IEEE double column, single space format, A4 page. The word style or the latek template can be downloaded from the IEEE site. Two types of format are acceptable: full paper (8 pages) or short and demo papers (4 pages). This size is referred to the camera-ready paper and therefore includes figures, tables and formulas.
Creative projects that fall between art, music and other creative areas, enhanced by VSMM technologies are strongly encouraged. A few booths are available for allocating installations for the whole duration of the conference. A report paper on the presented demo is required for the review phase, in the same form of a short paper (4 pages max), which should be uploaded according to the instructions illustrated in the previous point. A 10-minutes time slot will be given for each presentation in a specific session.
A special session can be proposed to the Conference chairs by submitting the form downloadable below, where a brief synopsis of the session, motivations and track allocation have to be specified.
A Workshop or a Tutorial can be proposed to the Conference chairs by submitting the form downloadable below, where a brief synopsis, motivations and costs have to be specified.
